**Mangalore, December 8, 2024** – The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has significantly improved its global research standing, with its Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) exceeding 1.5. This marks a dramatic increase from 0.53 in 2020, placing MAHE among the world’s top research institutions.

The FWCI, a key metric measuring research quality and impact relative to global averages, reflects MAHE’s commitment to cutting-edge research and collaboration. Pro-Chancellor H.S. Ballal expressed confidence in MAHE’s continued growth in the global research landscape. Vice-Chancellor Lt. Gen. (Dr) M.D. Venkatesh attributed the success to world-class facilities, robust library support, and open-access initiatives.
