Sat Dec 07 21:03:31 UTC 2024: ## Khan Sir Hospitalized After Student Protest, False Arrest Rumors Spread

**Patna, Bihar:** Popular educator Khan Sir, known for his competitive exam coaching, was hospitalized in Patna on Saturday suffering from dehydration and fever. He was admitted to Dr. Prabhat Memorial Hospital. This follows his participation in a student protest regarding changes to the BPSC preliminary exam.

Earlier reports, widely circulated on social media, falsely claimed Khan Sir had been arrested and detained at a police station. Images purportedly showing him in custody went viral. However, Patna police categorically denied these claims. SDPO Dr. Anu Kumari of the Secretariat police station stated that Khan Sir visited the station voluntarily and left of his own accord.

A fake FIR has been filed against the ‘Khan Global Studies’ X (formerly Twitter) handle for spreading false and inflammatory information, aiming to mislead students. Police clarified that Khan Sir was not arrested, but rather brought to the Gardanibagh police station willingly and later dropped off near Atal Path at his request.

The incident occurred amidst a large student protest near the BPSC office, where police used batons to disperse hundreds of applicants angered by alleged changes to the exam process. While BPSC officials deny any changes, students continue to demand accountability. The events in Maharashtra, particularly the BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis replacing Eknath Shinde as Chief Minister, have reportedly heightened concerns within Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) party.
