**Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, December 8, 2024** – Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has predicted that India will become a $30 trillion economy by 2047. Speaking at XLRI-School of Management’s platinum jubilee celebration, he highlighted India’s rapid economic growth, stating that the nation, currently the world’s fifth-largest economy, will climb to the third position within the next three years, reaching a $5 trillion economy.
Mr. Pradhan attributed India’s success to its position as the fastest-growing global economy and emphasized the country’s potential for job creation and wealth generation. He cited the significant role of digital public infrastructure, noting that 46% of global digital transactions now occur in India. The minister also highlighted India’s self-reliance in the service sector and connected the New Education Policy’s goals to job creation and economic growth. He urged students to contribute to making India a global economic powerhouse.
