Spinner Taijul Islam was the architect of the victory, capturing his 15th five-wicket haul in Test cricket with figures of 5-50, dismantling the West Indies batting order for 185 in their second innings.
Earlier, a blistering 91 from Jakir Ali propelled Bangladesh to 268 in their second innings, setting a challenging 287-run target for the hosts. Ali’s knock, featuring eight fours and five sixes, was crucial in turning the tide after Bangladesh resumed at 193-5.
