**SAITAMA, JAPAN** – Former fighter Mikuru Asakura will be participating in the second part of Rizin’s New Year’s Eve event, “RIZIN DECADE,” at Saitama Super Arena, Rizin CEO Nobuyuki Sakakibara announced.

In a video posted on social media, Sakakibara revealed a meeting with Asakura in Las Vegas where they discussed the upcoming event. The meeting, which took place while Sakakibara was supporting Asakura’s brother, Kai, for his UFC 310 fight, resulted in a collaboration. Asakura proposed a series of 4-5 matches featuring fighters from his “BreakingDown” promotion against Rizin fighters. Sakakibara accepted the proposal, leaving details to be finalized upon their return to Japan. This collaboration significantly boosts the lineup for the second part of the event, just four weeks before the show.
