HYDERABAD, INDIA – The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has announced a new scholarship scheme, the Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme-2024, to support financially disadvantaged students. The scheme, announced via X (formerly Twitter), will provide financial assistance to meritorious students who completed their 10th, intermediate, diploma, or equivalent education in the 2021-22, 2022-23, and 2023-24 academic years.
Applicants must have achieved a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) from a recognized institution. The scholarship is available for higher education in 2024-25, covering various fields including medicine, engineering, graduation, vocational courses, and ITI programs. A special scholarship for girls offers two years of funding for those completing their 10th standard and pursuing intermediate or diploma courses.
