Sat Dec 07 12:52:02 UTC 2024: ## Central Board School Coming to Theni, Tamil Nadu

**Theni, Tamil Nadu – December 7, 2024** – A new Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) school will be established in Theni, Tamil Nadu, following the allocation of eight acres of land by the State government. The announcement was made by Theni District Collector R.V. Shajeevana on Saturday.

The project, initiated under the previous Collector, Pallavi Baldev, will initially operate for three years in a rent-free building at the Allinagaram Municipality elementary school. The school will accommodate 950 students from classes I to V, with plans to expand in the future. Sixty-three staff members will be appointed. The larger, permanent campus at Vadaveeranaickenpatti will eventually house the school.

This is a significant development for Theni, fulfilling a long-standing request from ex-servicemen in the area. They anticipate the KV school will provide considerable advantages to students, both financially and in terms of improved infrastructure and educational standards. A similar school will also open in Thanjavur district. Admissions for the Theni school will begin shortly.
