**MUMBAI, INDIA** – Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated film, *Pushpa 2: The Rule*, continues to dominate the Indian box office, despite a slight dip in earnings on its second day. While the film’s Friday gross of ₹90.10 crore (approximately $10.8 million USD) was lower than its record-breaking opening day haul of ₹174.9 crore (approximately $21 million USD), it still secured a spot among the top five highest-grossing second-day collections for a Hindi film in India.

The film has already amassed over ₹265 crore (approximately $32 million USD) in India within two days of release, with a significant portion coming from the Telugu market (₹118.05 crore). Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam versions also contributed significantly to the total. *Pushpa 2* surpassed *RRR*, *Baahubali 2*, and *KGF 2* to claim the top spot on its opening day, achieving the highest opening for a Hindi film, even eclipsing last year’s *Jawan*.

The impressive opening numbers were partially attributed to an unprecedented price hike for tickets, approved by the Andhra Pradesh government. Allu Arjun expressed his gratitude to the government for this “progressive decision,” highlighting its positive impact on the Telugu film industry. Ticket prices ranged from ₹200 to ₹2,500 depending on the location and showtime, with premiere show tickets reaching ₹944. The Andhra Pradesh government also approved a schedule of six shows on the opening day with price increases of up to ₹200 for multiplexes.

While the second-day numbers show a slowdown, the film’s weekend performance will be crucial in determining its ultimate box office success. Analysts eagerly await to see if *Pushpa 2* can maintain its momentum and further solidify its position as a major box office hit.
