Sat Dec 07 08:43:07 UTC 2024: ## Delhi Sees Deadly Shootings and Stabbing Amidst Heightened Political Tensions

**New Delhi, India** – Delhi witnessed two separate violent incidents over the weekend, leaving one businessman dead and another neighbor fatally stabbed, sparking sharp criticism from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) against the ruling BJP.

On Saturday morning, 57-year-old Sunil Jain, a utensils businessman, was shot multiple times by two unidentified men on a motorcycle in the Farsh Bazar area of Shahdara. According to police, seven to eight shots were fired as Jain, returning home after a morning walk, was approached by the assailants. Witnesses reported the men initially pretended to have found Jain’s dropped phone before demanding his name and opening fire. The masked gunmen remain at large, and a police investigation is underway. Jain’s family insists he had no known enemies.

In a separate incident on Friday night, a dispute over a shared toilet in Govindpuri escalated into a fatal stabbing. Bikham Singh allegedly stabbed three neighbors, resulting in the death of Sudheer and injuries to two others, Prem and Sagar, who are currently hospitalized. Singh has been arrested.

Following these incidents, AAP leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched a scathing attack on the BJP, accusing the party of failing to maintain law and order in Delhi. Kejriwal attributed the rising crime rate to a perceived lack of control by the BJP, which oversees the Delhi Police through the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. The AAP’s criticism comes as the party intensifies its campaign for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. The Delhi Police is continuing its investigation into both incidents.
