**Hyderabad, December 7, 2024** – The Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) demolished unauthorized structures in the Yapral area of Jawahar Nagar corporation in Medchal-Malkajgiri district on Friday. The demolition followed an investigation into complaints of construction in the buffer zone of the Nagireddy Kunta drain.
The inquiry, involving Revenue, Irrigation, HMDA, and Municipal officials, confirmed that a function hall had been illegally built on government land (survey numbers 14 and 32). The builder is accused of occupying adjacent government land and misleading authorities by presenting a false survey number to the High Court to obtain a stay order, falsely claiming it applied to the new encroachment. HYDRAA’s investigation uncovered the fraud, leading to the demolition of the illegal structures. A press note confirmed the action.
