**New Delhi, December 6 (ANI):** India observed the 69th Mahaparinirvan Diwas on Friday, commemorating the death anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. Tributes poured in from across the political spectrum, highlighting Ambedkar’s unwavering commitment to social justice, equality, and human dignity.
At Parliament House Lawns, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar led the tributes, joined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former President Ram Nath Kovind, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. All lauded Ambedkar’s tireless fight against social inequalities and his enduring legacy.
In social media posts, both the Vice President and Prime Minister emphasized the importance of upholding Ambedkar’s ideals and working towards a more inclusive India. President Droupadi Murmu also paid her respects in Bhubaneswar.
Dr. Ambedkar, a jurist, economist, politician, and social reformer, dedicated his life to fighting caste-based discrimination and advocating for the rights of Dalits and women. His contributions to India’s constitutional framework and his fight for social justice continue to inspire generations. He was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1990.
