**MUMBAI, INDIA –** A young model, Shivani Singh, 25, died in a hit-and-run accident in Mumbai’s upscale Bandra neighborhood on Friday evening. Singh, a Malad resident, was riding a motorcycle with a friend on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road at approximately 8 pm when a speeding water tanker struck them. The impact threw Singh under the tanker’s wheels, resulting in fatal injuries. Her friend survived the incident.
The tanker driver fled the scene immediately after the collision. Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify and apprehend the suspect. Singh was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
