**Lucknow, India** – The Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty (UPSMFAC) has released the results for its Auxiliary Nursing Midwife (ANM), General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), and other paramedical courses. Candidates can access their results via the official UPSMFAC website using their login credentials. Successful ANM and GNM candidates can expect salaries ranging from ₹21,000 to ₹69,000.
This announcement comes amidst a significant expansion of medical education infrastructure in the state. Since 2014, the number of medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh has more than tripled, rising from 30 to 86. The number of MBBS seats has also seen a dramatic increase, jumping from 3,749 to 12,425.
Further bolstering the state’s medical capacity, the National Medical Commission (NMC) recently approved the launch of MBBS courses in seven new medical colleges and authorized an increase in seats at numerous existing institutions, including government, private, and public-private partnership (PPP) colleges. This year alone, 722 additional MBBS seats have been added, bringing the total for the 2024-25 academic session to 4,550.
