Fri Dec 06 11:25:41 UTC 2024: ## Bangladesh Cruises into ACC U-19 Asia Cup Final After Dominant Win Over Pakistan

**Dubai, UAE:** Bangladesh’s Under-19 cricket team secured a convincing seven-wicket victory over Pakistan in the first semi-final of the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup 2024 on Friday. An unbeaten 61 off 42 balls by Md Azizul Hakim Tamim spearheaded Bangladesh’s chase of a modest 117-run target, setting up a final clash against India.

Pakistan, after winning the toss and electing to bat first, struggled to build substantial partnerships. Iqbal Hossain Emon was the pick of the Bangladesh bowlers, claiming four wickets for 24 runs and dismantling the Pakistan batting order. Farhan Yousaf (32) and Mohammad Riazullah (28) offered some resistance, but Pakistan’s innings ultimately folded at 116 in 37 overs.

Bangladesh’s chase was largely untroubled. Tamim’s impressive knock, including a half-century in just 39 runs, guided his team to victory with ease. He was ably supported by Mohammad Shihab James, ensuring a comfortable passage into the final.

The victory marks a strong showing for Bangladesh, the defending champions, who will now face India in the final after India defeated Sri Lanka in the second semi-final. The match was played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
