**Srivilliputtur, Tamil Nadu, December 5, 2024** – D. Vincent has been arrested by Srivilliputtur Town Police in connection with the murder of D. Prakash, 45, on November 28th in Santhapettai. Police say the murder stemmed from a long-standing feud, sparked by insulting remarks Prakash made about Vincent’s family.
Vincent, a moneylender, lured Prakash to his home under the pretense of an electrical repair. Once there, he attacked Prakash with a hoe handle, according to Srivilliputtur Deputy Superintendent of Police A. Raja. Despite attempts to clean the scene, bloodstains were found on the walls and furniture, providing crucial circumstantial evidence.
Vincent was remanded in judicial custody on Thursday.
