Fri Dec 06 04:41:40 UTC 2024: ## Ram Mandir Construction in Ayodhya Makes Significant Progress

**Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh** – Construction of the grand Ram Mandir temple in Ayodhya is progressing rapidly, with key milestones achieved and ambitious targets set for completion. The 161-foot pinnacle will feature a ten-foot gold embellishment at its apex, adding a striking visual element to the structure.

Nripendra Misra, Chairman of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee, confirmed that work is proceeding according to plan, although efforts are underway to accelerate the process. While the number of workers has been increased, the committee aims for further augmentation to meet the target of completing the main temple by mid-March.

Simultaneously, seven smaller temples, known as the Sapt Mandap, are also on schedule for completion by the same timeframe. Approximately 75% of the stone carving and finishing work is expected to be finalized by this phase, including the recently completed 500-foot-long Ram Katha carving, which is now ready for installation.

Beyond the temple itself, infrastructure development is also advancing. The Yatri Suvidha Kendra (tourist facilitation center), power sub-stations, and a sewage treatment plant are slated for handover to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust by January 2025, ensuring adequate facilities for the anticipated influx of devotees. The sanctum sanctorum and first floor were completed in January 2024, with the consecration of the Ramlalla idol following on January 22nd. The committee is focused on ensuring all auxiliary structures are fully operational to support the large number of expected visitors.
