**Kozhikode, December 5, 2024** – Dr. Nasser Yusuf, a thoracic surgeon from Kerala, has been awarded the Dr. S.N. Tripathy Memorial Oration Award for his outstanding contributions to the field of Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases. The award was presented at the 79th National Conference of Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases (NATCON 2024) in Jaipur.

Dr. Yusuf’s lecture, titled “Tuberculosis – The Phoenix of Thoracic Surgery,” highlighted his pioneering work in surgical treatment of tuberculosis complications, particularly multiple and extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis. He is the first thoracic surgeon from Kerala to receive this prestigious honour.
