**New Delhi, India** – Delhi residents experienced the coldest night of the season so far on Thursday, as temperatures plummeted to a bone-chilling 8.5 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts even colder temperatures are on the way, with a forecast low of 7 degrees Celsius expected.

This marks a significant four-degree drop from Wednesday’s minimum temperature of 12.5 degrees Celsius. The previous coldest night of the season was November 26th, with a low of 9.5 degrees Celsius. While Thursday’s daytime high of 25.1 degrees Celsius was also near season lows, it remains within the normal range for this time of year.

The IMD’s data shows that the lowest daytime temperature this season was 23.5 degrees Celsius, recorded on November 18th. Humidity levels throughout Thursday ranged from 46% to 64%.

Looking ahead, Friday’s forecast includes shallow fog, with a high of 26 degrees Celsius and a low of 7 degrees Celsius. Delhi residents are advised to prepare for continued cold conditions.
