**New Delhi, December 6, 2024** – The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced a major initiative Thursday to target women voters ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections in February 2025. The party has deployed 5,000 teams of women workers to conduct over 50,000 meetings across the city’s 70 constituencies.

This micro-campaign aims to highlight the AAP government’s welfare schemes, particularly those benefiting women. With 67 lakh women among Delhi’s 1.47 crore voters, according to the Election Commission, AAP is focusing on this key demographic.

The campaign will emphasize schemes like the free bus rides for women introduced in 2020 and the recently announced Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana, which will provide ₹1,000 monthly to women above 18 years of age. The teams will also contrast the AAP government’s initiatives with the perceived lack of facilities for women in BJP-ruled states. The feedback gathered from these meetings will be relayed to the party leadership. Each team is expected to conduct three to four meetings daily.
