**New Delhi, Dec 5 (IANS)** – Sharmin Akhter of Bangladesh, Nadine de Klerk of South Africa, and Danni Wyatt-Hodge of England are vying for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for November 2024.
Akhter, earning her first nomination, impressed with a career-high 96 runs in a Player of the Match performance against Ireland, contributing to a 154-run victory. She followed this with a 43-run contribution in a subsequent five-wicket win. A win would make her only the second Bangladeshi woman to receive the award.
Despite South Africa’s 3-0 series loss to England, de Klerk stood out as the team’s top run-scorer and wicket-taker. Her November highlights include a 29* and 2-20 in one match, and a 32* and 2-36 in another, showcasing her all-round prowess.
Wyatt-Hodge secured her first nomination after a stellar performance during England’s 3-0 T20I series win in South Africa. She shone with a 78 off 45 balls in Benoni, and a further half-century to cap off the series victory.
