**Sriharikota, December 5, 2024:** The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced a delay in the launch of the PSLV-C59 rocket carrying the PROBA-3 satellite. Originally scheduled for 4:08 PM IST today, the launch has been postponed to 4:12 PM IST due to a technical snag detected in the satellite’s propulsion system 44 minutes prior to the planned launch time.
The PROBA-3 mission, a collaboration between ISRO and the European Space Agency (ESA), aims to study the Sun. The delay is attributed to a technical fault discovered in the coronograph of the satellite. ISRO is currently rectifying the issue before proceeding with the launch.
