**Miami, FL** – Manchester City and Chelsea have been allocated their pots for the expanded 32-team FIFA Club World Cup, the draw for which took place in Miami on Thursday. The tournament, featuring clubs from all six continental confederations, will be held in the United States from June 15 to July 13, 2025.

City’s Champions League victory in 2023 and Chelsea’s win in 2021 secured their places. City, drawn in Pot 1, will face competition from the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain. Chelsea, meanwhile, finds itself in Pot 2 alongside teams including Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, and Atletico Madrid.

The other pots include a mix of champions from various leagues across the globe, with notable inclusions such as Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami CF (Pot 4). The 32 teams will be divided into eight groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the knockout stage. FIFA has confirmed that, with the exception of UEFA clubs, no group will contain more than one team from the same confederation.

Inter Miami will kick off the tournament at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on June 15, 2025. FIFA has urged all participating clubs to field their strongest possible squads.
