HARARE, ZIMBABWE – Pakistan made a strong start to their match against Zimbabwe, claiming two early wickets to put the hosts on the back foot. The fall of Brian Bennett (43 runs off 35 balls, including six fours and a six) and Dion Myers (13 runs off 18 balls) left Zimbabwe reeling.

Abbas Afridi, introduced into the attack, immediately made an impact, dismissing Myers caught by Arafat Minhas. Myers attempted a heave but only managed to send the ball straight to the fielder. Earlier, Sufiyan Muqeem had also taken a crucial wicket, dismissing Bennett caught by Tayyab Tahir, after the batsman attempted a pull shot.

While Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza and Wesley Madhevere managed to get off the mark, the early losses put pressure on the Zimbabwean batting line-up. The match remains underway.
