**Vadodara, India:** Baroda has rewritten the record books in T20 cricket, smashing a world record score of 349/5 against Sikkim in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. This monumental total surpasses Zimbabwe’s previous record of 344/4 against Gambia. Their innings also included a record-breaking 37 sixes, eclipsing Zimbabwe’s previous best of 27.
Leading the charge was opener Bhanu Pania, who remained unbeaten on 134 off just 51 balls, a knock studded with numerous sixes. This also sets a new Indian record for most sixes in a single T20 innings. Pania’s explosive innings was supported by impressive contributions from other batsmen. Shashwat Rawat (43 off 16), Abhimanyu Rajput (53 off 17), Shivalik Sharma (55 off 17), and Vishnu Solanki (50 off 16) all smashed half-centuries.
