Wed Dec 04 08:48:29 UTC 2024: ## Honda Launches Revamped Amaze with Segment-First ADAS Features

**NEW DELHI –** Honda Cars India has unveiled the all-new 2024 Honda Amaze, a significantly updated compact sedan boasting a refreshed design, enhanced features, improved safety, and—most notably—the inclusion of Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS). This marks the Amaze as the first car in its segment to offer ADAS in India.

The third-generation Amaze is available in three trims (V, VX, and ZX) with both manual and CVT transmission options. Introductory prices start at ₹7.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the base V MT variant, rising to ₹10.89 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the top-spec ZX CVT. This introductory pricing will be valid for 45 days.

Aesthetically, the Amaze sports a redesigned front fascia featuring new headlamps, grille, and front bumper, drawing inspiration from the Elevate SUV. Larger ORVMs, also reminiscent of the Elevate, complement the updated exterior. While the overall silhouette remains similar to its predecessor, new 15-inch alloy wheels add a fresh touch. The rear showcases updated LED taillights (similar in style to the Honda City but with unique detailing) and a redesigned bumper integrating four parking sensors and a rearview camera. Boot space has also been increased to 416 liters.

Inside, the Amaze boasts an 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, wireless charging, push-button start/stop, an air purifier, fully automatic climate control, and walkaway auto lock. Dual-tone interiors complete the upgraded cabin.

Safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, rear parking sensors, and hill-start assist. The highlight, however, is the inclusion of Honda Sensing, a suite of ADAS features.

Powering the new Amaze is a 1.2-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine producing 89 bhp and 110 Nm of torque. Fuel efficiency is rated at 18.65 kmpl with the manual transmission and 19.46 kmpl with the CVT. Honda aims to strengthen its position in the compact sedan segment with this comprehensively upgraded model.
