NEW DELHI – Honda Cars India has officially launched the third-generation Honda Amaze compact sedan in the Indian market. Priced competitively at ₹7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Amaze boasts a refreshed design, enhanced features, and segment-first technology.
The new model features a redesigned exterior with improved dimensions, offering increased headroom and legroom. Honda highlights a class-leading 416-liter boot space. Powering the Amaze is a 1.2-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine generating 90 PS and 110 Nm of torque. Compatible with E20 fuel, it’s available with both manual and CVT automatic transmissions, offering fuel efficiency figures of 18.65 kmpl (manual) and 19.46 kmpl (automatic). The driving experience has been enhanced through improved suspension, steering, and braking systems.
Inside, the Amaze features an upgraded 8-inch floating infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, and customizable cabin themes. Additional features include a wireless charger, six-speaker premium sound system, remote engine start with AC cooling, paddle shifters, and ample storage space.
A significant highlight is the inclusion of Honda Sensing, an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), marking a segment first and reportedly making it the most affordable car in India with this feature. Available on the ZX trim (starting at ₹9.69 lakh), the ADAS suite includes over 28 safety features such as auto headlights, lane watch camera, electronic stability control, and hill assist.
Honda has introduced introductory prices valid for 45 days, after which prices may increase. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in January 2025.
