Wed Dec 04 11:08:48 UTC 2024: ## Nepalese Bowler’s Stunning Performance Marred by Bizarre Injury in U-19 Asia Cup

**Colombo, Sri Lanka** – Yuvraj Khatri, a Nepalese bowler, delivered a breathtaking performance in the Men’s U-19 Asia Cup against Bangladesh, claiming four wickets for just 23 runs. His impressive spell, however, was tragically cut short by a bizarre ankle injury sustained while celebrating a wicket.

Khatri’s highlight reel included two consecutive dismissals in a single over. He first bowled a batter clean with an off-spin delivery, celebrating with the trademark “shoe-call” of South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi. His next victim was Rizan Hassan, who was trapped LBW. In the exuberance of the moment, Khatri sprinted across the field, twisting his ankle and collapsing in pain. He was subsequently assisted from the field and taken for scans.

Despite Khatri’s heroics, Nepal suffered a five-wicket defeat after being bowled out for a paltry 141 runs. Akash Tripathi’s 43 was the top score for Nepal. Bangladesh, led by half-centuries from Zawad Abrar and captain Azizul Hakim, comfortably chased down the target.

While Nepal lost the match, Khatri’s performance solidified his reputation as a rising star in Nepalese cricket. His injury, while unfortunate, casts a shadow on an otherwise exceptional display of skill and talent.
