**Mysuru, Karnataka –** Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has accused the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of attempting to influence the courts in a case involving alleged irregularities in land allotments by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). The ED wrote a letter to the Karnataka Lokayukta regarding the case, which involves the Chief Minister’s wife, Parvathi. Siddaramaiah claims the timing of the letter, just before a High Court hearing, is politically motivated and prejudicial to both the Lokayukta’s investigation and the court proceedings.
He questioned the ED’s authority to investigate the matter, noting that the Lokayukta is already conducting a probe as per a court order. Siddaramaiah stated that the ED could have submitted a report independently instead of publicly releasing its letter through a news agency. He believes this action demonstrates a clear political agenda and ill-will.
The Chief Minister also denied rumors of an upcoming cabinet reshuffle. The alleged irregularities concern land allotments made by the MUDA. The High Court is scheduled to hear the case soon.
