**Kolkata, India –** The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has opened the objection window for the provisional answer key of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024. Candidates have until 11:55 PM on December 5th to review the key and submit any challenges through the official website, iimcat.ac.in.

Approximately 2.93 lakh candidates participated in this year’s CAT exam, out of 3.29 lakh registrations, marking an 89% attendance rate. The gender breakdown includes 1.07 lakh female, 1.86 lakh male, and five transgender candidates.

To raise objections, candidates must log in using their registration number, date of birth, and captcha code and follow the steps outlined on the website. While the website initially indicated a 6 PM opening, the exact time of activation remains unclear. The final answer key will be released after reviewing all submitted objections.

Last year, only two out of 85 objections were accepted following expert review. The results for CAT 2024 are expected in the second week of January 2025 and will be valid until December 31, 2025. The scores are accepted by several non-IIM institutions, a list of which is available on the official website. It is crucial to note that the IIMs are not involved in the admission processes of these non-IIM institutions.
