**Kolkata, December 3, 2024** – The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) has released the provisional answer key for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024, allowing candidates to assess their performance and raise objections before the final results are announced.
The answer key, available on the official CAT website (iimcat.ac.in), can be accessed by logging in with the application ID and password. Candidates have until 11:55 PM on December 5, 2024, to challenge any answers they believe to be incorrect. A fee of ₹1,200 is charged per objection.
The CAT 2024 exam, held on November 24, 2024, saw an 89% attendance rate, with approximately 2.93 lakh candidates appearing out of 3.29 lakh registered. The exam, conducted across 389 centres in 170 cities, comprised 68 questions across three sections: VARC, DILR, and QA.
IIM Calcutta will review all objections and release the final answer key before announcing the results in the second week of January 2025. High-scoring candidates will be eligible for admission to various IIM programs. Candidates are urged to access information solely through the official CAT website, warning against unofficial sources.
