**Kolkata, December 3, 2024** – The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has opened the objection window for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 provisional answer key. Candidates who took the exam can now review the key and submit objections until 11:55 pm on December 5th.

The window, accessible through the official CAT website using registration details, allows candidates to flag potential discrepancies in the answer key. IIM Calcutta, which administered this year’s exam, will review all objections and release a final answer key after incorporating accepted corrections. This process aims to ensure transparency and fairness in the evaluation process.

This year’s CAT saw approximately 89% attendance, with 2.93 lakh out of 3.29 lakh registered candidates appearing for the exam. The candidate breakdown included 1.07 lakh female, 1.86 lakh male, and five transgender candidates.

While the official website initially indicated a 6 pm opening, the exact activation time remains unconfirmed. A direct link to the objection portal is available on the website. Last year, a significantly smaller number of objections (85) were received, with only two ultimately being accepted.
