**NOIDA, INDIA** – Maruti Suzuki’s newly launched compact sedan, the Dzire, has garnered over 30,000 bookings since its launch on November 4th, with an average of 1,000 bookings per day. The company has already delivered 5,000 vehicles. The ZXi and ZXi+ variants, the top-end models, account for 50% of the bookings.
Priced starting at ₹6.79 lakh, the new Dzire features a 1.2-liter petrol engine with a CNG option, available with a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. It boasts a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating, a first for a Maruti Suzuki car. Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, three-point seat belts, ESP, hill hold assist, and reverse parking sensors.
The Dzire’s redesigned exterior and interior offer improved space for five passengers. It is expected to directly compete with the upcoming Honda Amaze, set to launch on December 4th.
