**SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA**—Kim Taehyung, better known as V of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, announced the death of his beloved dog, Yeontan, on December 2nd, 2024. The heartbreaking news was shared via V’s Instagram stories, alongside poignant videos and photos of him and the Pomeranian.
In a heartfelt message to fans, V revealed that Yeontan had “embarked on a long journey to the dog stars,” asking fans to remember Yeontan and wish him happiness. The announcement followed the release of V’s new Christmas duet, “Winter Ahead,” with Park Hyo Shin.
Yeontan, a black and tan Pomeranian, had been a significant part of V’s life since 2017, frequently appearing in his vlogs, social media posts, and even music videos.
