Tue Dec 03 12:04:00 UTC 2024: **CBSE Releases CTET December 2024 Exam City Intimation Slips**
NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the exam city intimation slips for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December 2024 session. Candidates can download their slips from ctet.nic.in using their application number and date of birth. The slips indicate the city where the exam will be held, but are *not* admit cards. Admit cards will be released two days before the exam date.
The CTET exam is scheduled for December 14th, with a potential extension to December 15th in cities with high candidate numbers. The intimation slip also specifies the exam date, so candidates should check if their exam is scheduled for the 15th.
The exam will consist of two papers: Paper 1 (for classes 1-5 teachers) from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM, and Paper 2 (for classes 6-8 teachers) from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
To pass the exam, general category candidates need a minimum of 90 marks (60%), while SC/ST candidates need 82 marks (55%). Passing the CTET opens doors to teaching positions in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and Army schools across India. The CBSE conducts the CTET twice yearly, in July and December.
