Mon Dec 02 15:30:00 UTC 2024: ## West Indies Announces Squad for “Home for Christmas” ODI Series Against Bangladesh

**ST. JOHN’S, Antigua –** Cricket West Indies (CWI) has revealed a 15-man squad for the upcoming three-match One Day International (ODI) series against Bangladesh, dubbed the “West Indies Home for Christmas” series. The matches will be played at Warner Park, Basseterre, St. Kitts & Nevis, from December 8th to 12th, 2024.

The squad features two changes from the team that recently triumphed over England. All-rounder Justin Greaves and wicketkeeper-batter Amir Jangoo replace Hayden Walsh Jnr and Jewel Andrew, respectively. Andrew will participate in a batting camp in Chennai, India, focusing on playing spin bowling.

Greaves’ return follows impressive performances in the CG United Super50 competition, including three consecutive List A centuries and a maiden Test century against Bangladesh. Jangoo also earned his spot after a stellar Super50 season, leading the run charts with 446 runs.

Head Coach Daren Sammy stated that the selections aim to expand the player pool while pursuing short-term goals like winning home series and building on the recent England victory. He highlighted that Greaves and Jangoo add balance and dynamism to the squad. Shai Hope will captain the side, with Brandon King as his deputy. The full squad list and match schedule were released by CWI.
