**New Delhi:** Awadha Ojha, a renowned motivational speaker and UPSC coaching institute owner, has joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Ojha, popularly known as “Ojha Sir” among his students, has built a considerable fortune through his online and offline coaching classes, reportedly estimated at around ₹11 crore. His UPSC GS Foundation course alone commands fees ranging from ₹90,000 (online) to ₹160,000 (offline), according to his website. He also generates significant income from his YouTube channel and other social media platforms.
Ojha, who hails from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, started his first UPSC coaching center in Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar in 2005. While his dream of becoming an IAS officer remained unfulfilled, he has achieved considerable success in the education sector. His mother was a lawyer and his father a postmaster. His entry into politics marks a significant shift in his career, with AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal welcoming him to the party.
