**Bhopal, Nov 26:** Madhya Pradesh Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Minister Narayan Singh Kushwah has announced plans for statewide celebrations marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3rd. The celebrations will focus on showcasing the abilities and achievements of persons with disabilities and reaffirming the state’s commitment to building an inclusive society.
Minister Kushwah emphasized the importance of the “Sugam Bharat Abhiyan” (Accessible India Campaign), urging collaborative efforts to create accessible environments and develop an inclusive Information and Communication Technology (ICT) ecosystem. He believes this will significantly improve the lives of people with disabilities.
The minister further directed that events be organized at major tourist sites and public spaces across the state to highlight the achievements of persons with disabilities and raise public awareness about accessibility. These events, he stated, will not only promote inclusivity but also educate the public about the importance of accessibility for all. He concluded by reiterating the state’s commitment to integrating persons with disabilities into the mainstream and ensuring equal opportunities for all.
