**Mangaluru, Karnataka, December 2, 2024** – The much-anticipated two-day Bahusamskriti Utsava (multi-cultural festival) in Mangaluru has been postponed due to a severe rainfall alert issued in connection with Cyclone Fengal. The festival, organized by the Karnataka state government, was scheduled to begin Tuesday and feature various cultural performances representing Tulu, Konkani, Beary, Kodava, and Are Bhashe languages, along with Yakshagana performances. The event was planned to be held at the Kudmul Ranga Rao Town Hall, with participation from the Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Kodagu district administrations and the Mangaluru City Corporation. Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner M. P. Mullai Muhilan confirmed the postponement citing safety concerns related to the cyclone. A new date for the festival has not yet been announced.
