**Shivpuri, MP:** Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia narrowly escaped injury in a bee attack during a function at Chandpatha Lake in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district on Saturday. Videos of the incident quickly went viral on social media, showing a swarm of bees surrounding the minister.
Quick thinking by Scindia’s security personnel, who formed a protective cordon using handkerchiefs and towels, prevented serious injury. However, several others, including a local police officer, sustained stings. Eyewitnesses speculated that the bees were disturbed by drones used for security and photography at the event.
The incident occurred around 3:30 pm, just as the minister, accompanied by state energy minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar and other officials, was about to inaugurate a weed harvester machine. Due to the attack, the inauguration was cancelled and Scindia left the scene. The minister was unharmed, but the unexpected interruption caused a stir amongst attendees.
