**Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, November 30, 2024** – The Coimbatore district administration has issued a strong warning to residents to avoid unnecessary travel from December 1st to 3rd due to an impending cyclonic storm. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in the region during this period.

People living in low-lying areas should relocate to safer locations.

The Collector also advised against crossing causeways during heavy flows and cautioned against trips to Valparai or waterfall areas. He stressed the importance of following transport department instructions.

Coimbatore Weatherman Santhosh Krish predicts very heavy rainfall on Sunday and Monday, with the cyclone expected to pass near Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, and Coimbatore on Sunday evening, impacting the area until Monday. The storm is forecast to weaken into a depression as it crosses Coimbatore.
