**Bhubaneswar, Odisha –** Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched a scathing attack on opposition parties, accusing them of employing propaganda and undermining democratic norms. Addressing BJP workers in Bhubaneswar, Modi asserted that the opposition’s sole aim is to seize power through deceptive tactics, alleging they have “crushed the spirit of the Constitution” and rejected democratic principles.
He acknowledged the existence of ideological differences between political parties but criticized the current opposition’s methods, stating that the manner of protests has significantly changed. Modi claimed the opposition, having been out of power at the Centre for a decade, harbors anger and engages in conspiracies against the nation by spreading lies and rumors. He urged BJP workers and citizens to remain vigilant against this “propaganda.”
Highlighting recent BJP electoral victories in Odisha, Haryana, and Maharashtra, Modi attributed the success to the party’s dedicated work and the workers’ capabilities. He also emphasized the BJP’s commitment to Odisha’s culture and traditions, citing President Droupadi Murmu’s election as a testament to this commitment and a source of inspiration.
Modi further announced upcoming events in Odisha, including the All India DGP/IGP Conference, Operation Demonstration 2024 in Puri, and Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Bhubaneswar. He also touted the implementation of the National Education Policy and other central schemes in the state, along with the launch of the ‘Subhadra Yojana’ for women’s empowerment and the fulfillment of the promise to procure paddy at ₹3,100 per quintal. The Prime Minister’s speech comes ahead of the upcoming winter session of Parliament.
