**Hyderabad, November 30, 2024** – The highly anticipated pan-India release of Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa: The Rule” on December 5th has been given a boost by the Telangana government. A new notification allows for a significant ticket price increase and special premiere screenings on December 4th.
Special benefit shows will be held from 9:30 PM onwards on December 4th across all theatres in Telangana, with tickets priced at ₹800. Additional shows at 1:00 AM and 4:00 AM on December 5th will also feature the increased pricing.
From December 5th to 8th, ticket prices will be hiked, reaching ₹150 for single-screen theatres and ₹200 for multiplexes and IMAX. Prices will then drop to ₹105 and ₹150 respectively from December 9th to 16th, before a further increase of ₹20 and ₹50 in the final period. This means average ticket costs for the first four days will be around ₹300-350 for single screens and ₹400-450 for multiplexes.
While the government’s move is aimed at capitalizing on the massive hype surrounding the film, the impact of the pre-release paid premieres on the film’s opening day box office collections remains to be seen. The increased ticket prices, significantly higher than those seen for recent releases, reflect the considerable anticipation surrounding “Pushpa: The Rule.”
