**Kathmandu, Nepal –** The inaugural Nepal Premier League (NPL) is set to kick off on November 30th, featuring a star-studded lineup including former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan, who boasts an impressive 6,769 IPL runs, will represent the Karnali Yaks in the tournament, which concludes on December 21st. All matches will be held at the Tribhuvan University grounds in Kathmandu.

Dhawan expressed his excitement about the tournament, emphasizing the passion for cricket in Nepal and the invaluable learning opportunity for young Nepali players. He stated, “Everyone has seen the passion that exists for the game in the country and this league will further help the game grow…With top players from around the world coming to Nepal, the young players will learn a lot from their experience.”

Other international players participating include Ben Cutting, Unmukt Chand, Ravi Bopara, Chadwick Walton, and Marchand de Lange. The league comprises eight franchises playing a total of 32 matches. The final will include a reserve day.
