Sat Nov 30 05:44:51 UTC 2024: ## Worshipping Tulsi in Margashirsha: A Recipe for Prosperity, Says Astrologer

**Deoghar, India** – According to Hindu beliefs, growing and worshipping a Tulsi plant brings Goddess Lakshmi’s blessings to the home, bestowing happiness, prosperity, and financial progress. But, a prominent Deoghar astrologer, Pandit Nandkishore Mudgal, claims that performing specific rituals during the Margashirsha month (November-December) enhances these benefits significantly.

Pandit Mudgal highlighted the importance of the Tulsi plant’s inflorescence, known as “manjari,” which appears during Margashirsha. He recommends three key practices for attracting good fortune:

1. **Daily Puja and Offering:** Daily offering water and performing puja to the Tulsi plant, and tying the manjari in a red cloth before offering it to Lakshmi Narayan, is believed to alleviate financial woes.

2. **Saty Narayan Katha and Offering:** During the recitation of the Satyanarayan Katha (a Hindu devotional story), offering the Tulsi manjari to Lord Vishnu is said to please the deity, completing stalled tasks and fostering financial growth.

3. **Purifying with Ganga Jal:** Sprinkling the Tulsi manjari mixed with Ganga Jal (holy water from the Ganges) throughout the house is believed to dispel negative energy and invite positivity.

Pandit Mudgal emphasizes that while Tulsi puja should ideally be performed year-round, its significance is amplified during Margashirsha, as Lord Vishnu is believed to reside near the Tulsi plant during this month. The astrologer asserts that these rituals, performed with devotion during this auspicious month, will lead to increased prosperity and blessings.
