**Dhaka, Bangladesh –** The Bangladesh Under-21 men’s and women’s hockey teams were officially outfitted with new jerseys ahead of the AHF Hockey Junior Asia Cup 2024 at a ceremony held Wednesday at the BAF Falcon Hall. The event featured Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) president Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, who expressed high hopes for both teams.
The men’s team, champions of the Men’s Junior AHF Cup 2024, departs for Oman on Saturday to compete in the Asia Cup, which serves as a qualifier for the 2025 FIH Hockey Junior World Cup. They will face Oman, China, Malaysia, and Pakistan in Pool B.
The women’s team, runners-up in the Women’s Junior AHF Cup 2024, will travel to Muscat on December 3rd for their tournament, which runs from December 7th to 15th. Their Pool A opponents include China, India, Malaysia, and Thailand.
President Khan, during the jersey unveiling and team photo, charged the players with qualifying for the 2025 World Cup. The event also included members of the BHF’s new ad-hoc committee.
