**Hyderabad, November 30, 2024** – Telangana is set to receive significant technical assistance from Israel for its ambitious Musi river rejuvenation project and several other key initiatives. This follows a meeting between Telangana’s Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu and Israel’s Ambassador Reuven Azar in Hyderabad on Friday.

Ambassador Azar expressed Israel’s keen interest in collaborating on infrastructure development in Telangana, extending an invitation to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Minister Babu to visit Israel. Minister Babu welcomed the offer, highlighting the potential for collaboration in areas where Israel holds global leadership, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity.

The Minister specifically requested Israeli expertise in defence, agriculture, water management, advanced technologies, and industrial development. He also highlighted the planned 200-acre AI City near Hyderabad, seeking Israeli support in training AI and cybersecurity professionals. Wastewater reuse technologies were also identified as a crucial area for collaboration.

Minister Babu emphasized the role of the Young India Skills University in providing skilled manpower for any Israeli investments in the state. He expressed confidence that with Israeli support, Telangana could become a global hub for innovation and exports. The Minister further urged Israeli startups to contribute their expertise in the defence and aerospace sectors. The Israeli ambassador responded positively to all requests.
