**Dhaka, Bangladesh –** The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Bangladesh has strongly condemned the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das, spokesperson for the Bangladesh Sammilito Sanatani Jagaran Jot, and the subsequent attacks on the Sanatani community. In a statement released on November 27th, ISKCON Bangladesh called for the government to ensure the protection and civil rights of Sanatanis and promote peaceful coexistence among all communities.

Das, a vocal advocate for minority rights in Bangladesh, was arrested recently. ISKCON’s statement highlights concerns about his arrest, emphasizing the importance of upholding his right to free speech. The organization also decried violence against the Sanatani community following Das’s arrest.

ISKCON Bangladesh has presented three key demands to the Bangladeshi government: the identification and prosecution of those responsible for attacks on Sanatanis; the protection of Das’s and other Sanatanis’ civil rights; and the immediate implementation of measures to maintain peace and harmony.

The organization, a leading Sanatani group within the Gaudiya Vaishnav tradition, reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the religious freedoms of all minorities in Bangladesh. It urged the government to take swift action in consultation with Sanatani community leaders to address the situation.
