Sat Nov 30 12:23:51 UTC 2024: ## Pakistan’s Shahzaib Khan Blasts Century Against India in Under-19 Asia Cup Thriller
**Dubai, UAE:** Nineteen-year-old Shahzaib Khan smashed a record-breaking century, leading Pakistan to a commanding 281/7 against India in their Under-19 Asia Cup clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Khan’s blistering 159 runs off 147 balls, studded with 5 fours and 10 sixes, shattered previous records and set a new benchmark for the highest individual score by a Pakistani batsman against India at the Under-19 level.
The left-handed opener, in a 160-run partnership with Usman Khan (60), completely dominated the Indian bowling attack. His innings included the most sixes ever hit by a Pakistani Under-19 batsman in a youth ODI, surpassing the previous record of 7. Even after Usman’s dismissal, Khan continued his onslaught, eventually falling to Samarth Nagraj (3/50), who was the most successful Indian bowler. Ayush Mhatre and Yudhajit Guha-Kiran Choramle also picked up 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
Khan’s knock surpasses Sami Aslam’s previous best of 134 runs against India in 2012. His score also places him among the highest individual scores by any batsman against the Indian Under-19 team, exceeding previous milestones set by Colin Ackermann (South Africa) and Kadeer Ali (England).
Pakistan’s impressive total of 281/7, largely thanks to Khan’s masterclass, sets a challenging target for India in the crucial Under-19 Asia Cup encounter. The match continues to unfold, with the result yet to be determined.
