**Dubai, UAE:** Vaibhav Suryavanshi has etched his name in Indian cricket history, becoming the youngest player ever to represent India in an Under-19 One Day International (ODI) match. The 13-year-old, who recently garnered attention after being purchased by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2025 mega auction for ₹1.10 crore, achieved the feat during the ongoing U19 Asia Cup in the UAE.

Suryavanshi, playing against Pakistan in the tournament’s third match, opened the innings for India, though he was dismissed for just one run. Despite the brief appearance, his participation shattered the previous record held by Piyush Chawla, who played at the age of 14 years and 311 days in 2003. Suryavanshi played at 13 years and 248 days old, surpassing Chawla and other previous record holders like Kumar Kushgra and Shahbaz Nadeem.

Suryavanshi’s precocious talent has already made him a notable figure in the cricketing world. He previously scored a century against Australia in an Under-19 match and became the youngest player ever sold in an IPL mega auction. His remarkable achievements highlight his immense potential and promise for a bright future in professional cricket.
