Fri Nov 29 17:33:38 UTC 2024: ## Gujarat ATS Arrests Man for Spying for Pakistan

**Okha, Gujarat –** A labourer from Okha, Gujarat, has been arrested for allegedly spying for Pakistan’s navy or ISI, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) announced today. Dipesh Gohil, who worked for a private company in Dwarka, was reportedly paid Rs 200 per day for providing sensitive information.

Gohil, who contacted a Pakistani naval officer named Asima through Facebook, allegedly sent photographs and videos of Indian Coast Guard ship movements in the Okha region via WhatsApp. The ATS stated that Gohil had easy access to the Coast Guard ships at the Okha port and that much of the intelligence gathered pertained to Coast Guard activities.

The ATS investigation began after receiving intelligence about a man sharing sensitive information with a Pakistani agent. The phone number used for communication was traced to Pakistan, leading to Gohil’s arrest. While he lacked a bank account, Gohil allegedly received approximately Rs 42,000 through a friend’s account, disguising the payments as welding income. The identity of the Pakistani handler remains undisclosed. The investigation is ongoing.
